Toyota Dealer Rally Conrad Rautenbach says the best is yet to come from him and his Ford Fiesta S2000 in this year’s South African Rally Championship.

Conrad won the Cape Town-based second round of the series to move into joint second place in the drivers’ standings, despite spending the opening day of the event getting to know his new car. A minor technical fault with the car meant he only drove it for 20 kilometers prior to the start.

“We’ve got some time before the third round,” said the former FIA African Rally Champion. “We’re going to get some testing done, I’m going to get to know the car and work on the set-up. There’s definitely more to come from me and the car before round three. But it’s been a fantastic start, it’s a great car to drive!”
