Conrad's back. And back in Africa.

Former FIA African Rally Champion Conrad Rautenbach will contest next week’s Total Tour of Natal in a Prodrive-supported Subaru Impreza WRX.

Rautenbach is delighted to be returning to South Africa, where he last competed in 2007 on his way to the continent’s biggest rally award. His outing in Prodrive’s development Impreza N2010 is a one-off for the moment, with the Zimbabwean deciding on his plans for the rest of the year after the Durban-based opener, which is the opening round of the Sasol South African Rally Championship.

Conrad, who won the Safari Rally and the FIA African Rally Championship in a Prodrive-supported car, said: “It’s great to be competing again and competing in Africa. I’m really pleased we’re working with Prodrive again. It’s going to be interesting to see how the Group N cars have progressed. The old team is coming back together again, but there’s no doubt it’s going to be hard work competing on the Total Tour of Natal for the first time.”

Conrad talks about his first event of the season in a Q&A in the news section.
